Here is a rescue i have taken in, he is in a sorry state and would love opinions, on the cause of all the scarring and damage on this poor guy Smile

my first guess would be burns, the snake looks in good condition other than those wounds (ie doesn't look dehydrated or skinny)

Burns on underside from heat mat common but with this being on all sides of the snake not so sure is thermal. Some get skin infections under an old (particularly if damp) previous shed retention. In any case antibiotics to prevent septicaemia and aloe vera gel/soapy water cleaning for the affected areas best though will take several sheds to get this healed. Obviously keep hot and dry.

well its not as if it was impossible for them to see that happening. obviously they just have not bothered to get vet assistance for the wee man. which,since they brought out new laws,up here anyway,dont know if it applies in england, is against the law. my heart goes out to him. karen, did you name him?
he is so beautiful too. under all those sores.
