Ball Python
Species: Python regius
Description: Tan, with dark brown or black blotches. Heavy body, with a smallish head. They generally reach sized of less than 5 feet in length.
Climate: 80 - 85F during the days, dropping to 75 - 80F at night. They are native to western Africa.
Habitat They require a terrarium of approximately 3 feet x 1 1/2 foot in size, and about two feet tall. Provide a secure hiding spot, and shallow water dish.
Feeding: Rodents. The Ball Python is a notoriously picky eater.
Notes: The ball python is one of the few pythons that is suitable for the beginner. Other than some trouble getting them to eat, this snake is quite easy to keep.
