Just a couple of snaps of the male..his colours are really starting to come through now and reckon he will turn in to a lovely pine snake. Hope Al sees this as they were from his adults. Still got very laid back temperaments although you get the odd tail rattle thats about it.

Cheers Zarek and welcome to the forum..these were bred by Al Stotton who has some stunning Jani...Really easy snakes to keep and tbh almost as placid as corns despite their reputation.. _________________

Thank you mate! I forgot I'm new to this forum lol, yea I've been looking at all his old posts at the Pituophis etc, I love these snakes currently got 2 bulls and 2 Black Pines - Looking for more as always
They are the Mexican type? Is it true you got to keep them at cooler temps? Not sure how cool though!
Cheers! |

Yes these are northern mexican pines and they do require cooler temps..I keep mine at 78-82 max...they do well at this but really are slow growing despite IMO having quite a fast metabolism..They are also known to regurge if given any food that is slightly large so best to go on the side of caution with these. _________________
