Kya is going into a shed. because of her not eating i think its going to be quite a bad one for her. she already has wee flakes hanging off and she is just going into blue. i have put her in a mossbox which she really doesnt want to go into. have been wetting my hands and running her through them, but has anyone any other tips to help her through this. keep trying to get her into her mossbox but at the moment she is refusing and is lying in the middle of a kitchen roll which i am spraying. will this and the humidity from the mossbox be enough? _________________

Try her in a pillow case.
The idea is wet the pillow case, give it a good ring out and put her into the bag and pop it back into your viv mid way between hot and cool ends. The humidity in there should rise nicely and help her with the shed.
One of the ways that I use and seeing as she isnt your best feeding its oneofthe less intrusive ways to help. _________________ royals

she is the wee one that was being tube fed. this is her first shed since she sytarted being tube fed, and although she ate a mouse last week i dont think this will be enough to help her through her shed, so am anticipating a bad one. i might be wrong. but she has been through so much i would like to make it as comfortable as possible for her. will try the pillowcase thing. thanks dan. wondered about bath too! how many though? one a day, one every two days? _________________

Just sounds strange to me. Try and breathe through a wet pillow case, bet you struggle... _________________ A lil bit of Madagascar

I have some royals that I can help in the bath which is great but I also have other that would really take offence to me playing with them in the bath.
Only you know your snakes and what would work best with them. Both methods work for me.
But hey I can only offer my opinion.
Edit......I fogot to mention screw some news paper up and add that to the pillow case with you snake. Just two or 3 pages this helps with shape of the pillow case and allows some freedom of movement......my bad should of been in origianl post! _________________ royals
