just thought id share some pics of my water dragons vivarium before and after i put in the divider

the whole thing is 6feet long, 2 feet deep and 4 feet tall it has been divided into two 3ft long, 2ft deep and 4 ft tall Viv's both sides shall be housing a pair eventually - my smaller male needs to grow on - I'm in the process of working out how to expand to a 6ft tall, 2-4 ft deep and 3ft long (each half) but its difficult to work out haha I'll get there lol

anyways before it was divided with 1 male & 2 females in - the females fought a lot over nesting space so that's why it was divided

there is a UV strip bulb up the top, a 150 watt flood lamp that supplies both UV and heat at one end and a normal 100 watt spot lamp on the other - the water tray is in the middle and there is a nesting site on the left with small ficus planted in (they seemed to prefer to dig into the roots) the planting was fake plants and Ficus's, climbing was provided by a bunch of branched & logs i found at my local nature reserve & sterilized with keep it clean solution and 50C water

its the same now only this is an old photo - i broke my camera - will attempt to get a better one if i can find a cam 2 borrow

its looking a lot better now that was on the same day as i split it if i remember

the wood i used was Sterling OSB exterior board (its waterproof) there are holes drilled in the back & sides for ventilation, cat litter trays for water, the substrate is forest bark, and the glass used was toughened 5 mm thick glass - so no problems there.

im quite surprised that is it still standing (after almost a year) seen as though i built it myself haha

i have tips
1.) don't screw it to the floor by accident - it ruins the carpet
2.) when silliconing the corners to make it watertight - don't wear good clothes & climb inside
3.) measure the lengths correctly - when fitting the glass, correct measurements should save you a weeks forth of sandpapering

follow those and you should be fine - lol

hey

osb exterior board is coated and waterproofed so it doesn't get affected by water easily - although the bottom is remotely damp (water dragons are such annoying creatures -:p but i love em) so i would advise you put a linoleum down or pond liner to hold any water and what not off the wood & you shouldn't have any trouble - going to have to move ahead the big(ger) build and get pond liner round the bottom - makes for an easy life

but no there isn't any problems with it so far - my other Viv lasted 2 months (store bought) so this is proving the much better quality Very Happy

another thing is we don't have much carpet in our house, so not much carpet messing up. lol

lol no that wasn't where i was going - at least if your going to keep us posted on progress,make sure theres no reflections - considering your not wearing anything haha - or you can use an "eye" patch but is an eye patch still an eye patch if its not on your eye?... ahwell

lol - well still best not screw the back of it to the floor anyways eh? lmao - mother wasn't too pleased Razz
