They come from Suriname and are exported under marinus, but this group need close looking at. I believe they are a different sub-species or even a new species in my opinion this thought is also shared by others too. They come from a certain locality at attitude I am told. They have a distinct line down the centre of their backs and quite an ornate pattern. The skin texture feels different as well.

I have seen them at 14 inches snout to vent.

awesome... have they been bred in captivity? Do they like things quite cool if from a higher altitude?

Shouldn't setting up a breeding group for these guys be a priority? Confused
