Just got back from a week in the Dordogne in France, the family and i hired out a Gite for the week, lovely peacefull part of the world there. We decided to drive down there (made the Hamm journey seem like a trip to the local shops) but we got there in the end. Saw plenty of wildlife there especially the birds, during the day you could here the screaches from the Buzzards cricling the fields and at night all the owls hooting (something i havent heard here in a while). In the grounds of the Gite there was a large fishing lake for us to use, there you could see Kingfishers and the odd snake crossing the water, managed to get quite a few photo's of some of the lizards we saw there and also of a family of otters by the stream, will post some up a bit later once ive downloaded some.
