Could have a gay rat?
Laughing
I had a male in with a female a while back and didn't get any babies for a while(4 months?) and never found out why.

Could be one of those things?

optimum breeding conditions for rats
approx 22oc photo-period 14hrs on 10hrs 0ff any thing less than that fertility / success rate goes down
Also the age of the breeding stock is important, less than 2 years for females less than 3 years for males
I know that rats will breed outside this parameters but this is optimum as long as you are "close" to this guidelines you should get results.

I forgot to add that an environmental "shock" ie moving from one location to another, especially if they are quite different in terms of temperature, photo period "draughts" etc will also have a negative effect on breeding. Until re-acclimatised.
HTH?
