Argie update, a now and then post.

Born 8/08/06 – they are all numbered (01-22) and weighed/measured on the 24/08/06.
Longest neonate (05) was 500mm & 101g, the heaviest (17) was 107g & 475mm. Joint shortest all measuring 410mm were 03 (82g), 11 (88g), 12 (90g) & 16 (98g). The lightest was 04 at 70g. All lengths are to the nearest 5mm.
Some assorted pix of the proceedings... oh, all feeding cards had to be altered (Doh! 9th changed to 8th), I'd stayed up for most of the first 23hrs with the little ones and didn't have a clue what I was writing!

A close up view of number 09 to show some pattern..

A side on view of head and upper body

..and finally a couple of the pork beast himself, number 17 weighing in at 107g.

As of 24 Oct, all born 8 August:-
The 5 that had under 6 feeds, when weighed the second time, are now eating on there own.13 & 17 are hold backs. I’ve included an updated feeding tally but will weigh them soon and make a further up date on the 11 I still have. This is not a classified; I’ve only mentioned that some were sold to explain why I haven’t got any updated feeding records. All are now eating large mice or smaller weaned rats.

1. 174g had 7 feeds and weighed 101g at birth - female. Sold shortly after the 24th October.

2. 133g had 7 feeds and weighed 95g at birth - male. Had 11 feeds before I sold him early December.

3. 152g had 7 feeds and weighed 82g at birth - male. Sold shortly after weighing.

4. 149g had 7 feeds and weighed 70g at birth - female. 13 feeds so far.

5. 197g had 8 feeds and weighed 101g at birth – male. 14 feeds so far.

6. Sold after 7 feeds by 20th Oct.
7. 161g had 7 feeds and weighed 95g at birth – male. Had eaten 8 feeds by the 26th Oct.

8. 116g had 3 feeds and weighed 98g at birth – female. Has now eaten 8 times.

9. Sold, had eaten 8 times by the 15th Oct.
10. 175g had 8 feeds and weighed 94g at birth – female. Now has eaten 14 times.

11. 186g had 8 feeds and weighed 88g at birth – male. Had 11 feeds before I sold him early December.

12. 103g had 3 feeds and weighed 97g at birth – female. Had 7 feeds before I sold her early December.

13. 147g had 8 feeds and weighed 97g at birth – male. 13 meals now.

14. 134g had 3 feeds and weighed 97g at birth – female. 9 meals now.

15. 149g had 8 feeds and weighed 89g at birth – male. 14 meals now.

16. 177g had 8 feeds and weighed 98g at birth – female. 14 meals now.

17. 186g had 7 feeds and weighed 107g at birth – female. 13 meals now.

18. 120g had 4 feeds and weighed 90g at birth – female. Had 7 feeds before I sold her early December.

19. 125g had 3 feeds and weighed 87g at birth – male. Had 7 feeds before I sold her early December.

20. 145g had 6 feeds and weighed 96g at birth – female. 10 meals to date.

21. 185g had 8 feeds and weighed 93g at birth – female. 13 meals to date.

22. 186g had 10 feeds and weighed 89g at birth – female. Sold, ate 11 meals before early Nov.

As of 11/07/07, again, all measurements in length are to the nearest 5mm, number of feeds on occasion would entail multiple food items at one sitting which would count as one feed. Please excuse the poor photography:-

04. Female 388g 860mm 27 feeds.

05. Male 418g 895mm 27 feeds.

08. Female 231g 740mm 20 feeds.

10. Female 327g 780mm 28 feeds.

13. Male 405g 880mm 28 feeds.

14. Female 344g 810mm 20 feeds.

15. Male 317g 760mm 28 feeds.

16. Female 319g 860mm 25 feeds.

17. Female 402g 855mm 28 feeds.

20. Female 358g 840mm 26 feeds.

21. Female 362g 840mm 29 feeds.

Snarler born 16/08/05, as he was then the ‘runt’ of the ’05 litter.

An update he’s now 809g and 985mm after 62 feeds, he’s actually darker than the image makes him look.

Might get in touch with you with the view of getting some an unrelated baby. How old are your Argies, have they produced before? I'm only 8 miles away if that from you. Wink

Devboy, stunning.

I especially like snarler, but then I do like my boas with character. Laughing

Cheers guys, I have a soft spot for Snarler and now number eight from the litter above. Both were the smallest of the lot and had an iffy start, with only accepting infrequent small meals, they'll both eat anything now though. Gannets. Laughing

Jase, I'm not sure yet what I have left, I kept the 11 for records but can't keep them all for much longer as they are eating into my curry funds. I'll be getting back in touch with people who have contacted me ages ago when I sold the other half of this litter last year. I'll keep you posted.
