I just joined today. I live in South Florida. Hope you folks don't mind "Yanks" (actually I'm a Southerner, LOL). My wife and I have decided to devote our herp hobby to keeping and breeding emeralds. Look forward to sharing info with others, as the hobby is enjoyed all around the world.

Thanks for the compliments on the collection and the welcome. We have had several litters. My girls get a year off between pairings and until last year we only had a couple mature enough to breed. Females usually don't reach breeding maturity and size until 5-6 years. We have two females (one northern and one basin) well into gestation, so we have our fingers crossed for later this year.

Thanks! I have actually been over there. I got to spend some time in both airports (landed in one and got bused to the other for a connecting flight)! LOL Hoping someday to actually be able to look around.
