Hi Linda, you may well be having problems because of the time of year. Spring time would be a better bet. I know that people do "overwinter" torts and keep them awake but to most people now is a time to be thinking about hibernation as far as Mediterranean tortoises are concerned . This may well put off a lot of potential buyers from investing in a new tortoise at this time. Wink
