Thanks Thomas, I was just lucky to manage the photo as it was taken through the glass so it would not disturb them.

They are referred to as giant geckos,Henkels giant gecko or just leachianus depending on where you look.

Great stuff Dean. It's hard to tell in the image but what is the size difference between the pair? I'm hoping to put my pair together next year - currently the male is roughly an inch or so smaller than the female. Also, what method do you prefer; leave them together permanently or only introduce them for mating? I've read lots of different views.

The pair are roughly the same size , I mated the earlier in the year and then separated them after a week.They were really excited when I put them back together and I will leave them together for the rest of the year,
