We have three female cresties housed together with a boy that we introduced recently.
We found three eggs in the viv the other morning. One was lying ontop of the substrate, was yellow and dimpled. Then after having a look around we found another 2 under the laying box. These ones look ok from what i've gathered reading other posts, so we have them in a tub on a shelf now.
Anyway was just wondering whether the 3 eggs would have came from the same crestie or whether 2 were gravid at the same time? We didn't notice any of them bigger than usual.
Thanks.

most likely you had 2 from one female and one from another. Single egg clutches are common for first clutches.
As for all laying together, I have several females in each cage that 'cycle' together and all produce eggs within a day or so of each other.
Good luck with the eggs, make sure you don't keep them too wet or too hot _________________

Thanks.
Yea we were expecting single eggs from them at first, so made us wonder when we got the 2.
They're in a cupboard, the temps are about mid 70's and they're on vermiculite, not to wet not to dry and getting aired every few days.
Fingers Crossed but in no hurry for babies. Just see what happens.

I'm sure I read on another forum about a cresty producing 3 eggs once, must be rare. I do know ofa couple of cresties that occassionally only produceone egg - one of mine has done this twice ( her first clutch and another a few months on). But I think its more likely that two females are producing, it would be worth gently examining the females to see if any have one egg left. _________________ Cheers Angi

Yea we found another 3 eggs in the tank today so thats been 6 eggs altogether, one which we put in the bin.
Read a post when Scott was talking about most of his females laying in the same area which is what ours did except from the bad one that was on top of the substrate at that front of the tank, so no way to know who's they were.
After finding the ones today we're assuming they laid 2 each.
