To have a general look (eyes, mouth, general body check+weight) and fecals my vet charges about £10-£12. He also spends a good while discussing husbandry. _________________

Sorry-I misread your post. I thought you meant a general health check! _________________

I am just wondering what the average price is and what they do for the money on the DWAA side of things because if you are new the keeping a DWAA animal you will not even have the animal for them to inspect as you can't get the animal until you have your DWAA if I am reading right |

That is correct. the fee varies from vet to vet, but basically they look at your enclosure, and decide if it is suitable, and safe for the animal yointended to get. If they are happy, they will sign it off, so you can be issued a DWA, and proceed.
Basically, they vist your house, and look at what yu have for the animal.
Although some may queston you, and your husbandry, this isnt a requirement, and as long as the enclosure is safe, (for the animal, and the public)and suitable for the animal, you will "pass" |
