would they kill with a bite ?? or would it take a few hours ?? they do look cute though Very Happy

the bite wuoldn't cause a fatality but would be a very painful and long experience! Shocked Cool

A friend of ours was once bitten by one of his Gilas,

His comments still make me laugh
"I know it wouldn't kill me, but i was in that much pain if i could have killed myself i would have done"

Another funny thing, when they bite they don't let go. Shocked

J

that's the second source of a similar quote..."it won't kill you but you wish it did" Shocked Certainly not something I want to let bite me.

Go on Scott,

just let one of them give you a little nip, Twisted Evil could do with a second view on if it hurts.

You can post your comments in the forum.

Not something that i really want to try myself.

I've heard that the pain is along the same lines as being stung by a duckbilled platypus or bitten by a scolapendra centipede

Just look at the teeth on these

Gilas, Beadeds, Albino Western diamondbacks, Cerastes horned vipers and a copperhead, used to have many others but cut down due to lack of space.

I'm very sure you could get someone to have a Gila bite for a well known video site (sounds like poo tube) Laughing Laughing

Any recent pics of your Cerastes gaspereti? ( is that what you have? sorry about the spelling, not familiar with that sub-species! )
