Hia all,
Just wanted to post a quick poser on the subject of greens for my baby beardie (Venus), when I picked her up Dave (the reptile specialist at Wharf) showed me all his babies were eaqting cress quite happily.
So I went out and got her cress to have alongside her crix, low and behold now shes on her own she'll happily scoff hoppers, blacks and browns but refuses to even look at anything green.
Is this okay? Any advice on trying to tempt her back to veggies? |

don't worry, they will take greens when they are ready, it's not a problem if they stay on insects for a while. just offer greens once a week until it starts to eat them again (removing the water bowl for a day sometimes helps get them back onto leafy greens, especially if you spray them with water). _________________

Took my beardies(when I kept them) quite a few months before they would entertain the greens..as Scott says just keep offering and eventually they will take to them.. |

If you put the livefood in with the greens, I found that they can accidently start eating the greens along with the livefood. |

I do the same. In fact I always feed my beardies by putting in a shallow bowl of greens and then dropping feeder insects on top. That way they pick up greens by accident and soon develop a taste for them. Also, even if they don't eat the greens, the feeders do...
