Sorry i worded that like id been out on the raz for months with no sleep,
Let me re-phrase that, What i mean by does not cover anyone else but me is that my insurance stipulates they only cover me for working in the room, yes i am covered by being sued whom are injured or killed but my insurance stimulates that no one else is to enter my locked secured venomous room. Upon doing so the insurance becomes null and void.
Hope this has cleared things up!

That sounds better!
Sounds a tad exsessive though that no-one else can enter your snake room.
Does that mean that visiting friends and relatives don't get to enjoy your collection also?
I'm forever showing off my snakes to my visitors. They find it very interesting and I also get a chance to help remove peoles fears and mis-conceptions that surround venomous snakes by educating them. _________________ You can't trust the snake......but you can always trust the snake to be a snake. |

Yes that is correct, i would be in breach of my insurance to allow anyone other than myself into the room. The reason this is due to the fact the room is only for hots, my other animals are all housed in a separate room.

That does sound a bit un-fair
My insurance company does not impose such restrictions.
Have you considered perhaps switching companys?
I hope you don't mind me asking but who are you with, what is your annual premium and for how many animals does your policy cover you for?
I am with Exotic Direct. They charge me £257 per year for 6 snakes. _________________ You can't trust the snake......but you can always trust the snake to be a snake. |

Tom, who does your insurance?
So are you in breach when the vet and council guy inspect each year? What if you need a hand to move a viv etc?
Sounds like you still have it slightly misinterpreted _________________

Scott.
Obviously there are conditions to which the insurance allow others in the room ie. vet or persons in authority however no Joe public are allowed in.
My insurance is provided through a broker hence all the stupid rules, once I've had my year with them i think i will change as it seems you guys have much better policies with a lot less restrictions.

who did you use Tom? I can only really think of 2 companies that will cover.
Stu, you're quite ok, that piece of paper you signed when you first visited transfers all my responsiblities back on to you as an 'agreeing visitor', infact if you read my small print you would of seen that should a bite occur you have to compensate me for stealing valuable venom _________________

umm brokers dont impose restriction or anything on an insurance policy be it life. A&D or PL.. they just shop for you to find the "best" deal and put it with that company you choose. _________________ Paul
