Hi guys what are they types of dwarf monitors available for sale in the uk and what is available to be imported to the uk.

Could you give a rough price and what state they are ie CB/WC/CF/CH.
Would like the common state that these animals are for sale not the odd exception.
If you dont know the state but know the monitor then please post as it will help.
This would be a great help.

Erm lets see. Please dont take any of this as read as things change fast and i could be well be off on some prices, rareity levels etc.
If i put uk then i know people breed them in the u.k if not then i know people breed them in europe and/or in canada and are importable from there. Most of these species are bred far more in europe than in the u.k however.

And remember we are talking monitors here nothing is realy that commonly being kept other than perhaps akies.

In no particular order, just how they came into my mind.

Acanthurus. £100-200 (common tho true reds less so cb uk)

Tristis. £350-500 (somwhat rare but available with some frequency cb uk)

Timorensis. £100-200 (common cb/wc uk)

Glauerti. £350-600 (somwhat rare tho available with some frequency cb uk)

Auffenbergi. £200-300 (a lil rarer than timors overall gb cb/wc uk i think)

Gilleni. £400-700 (a rare species in the u.k with few being bred even in europe cb)

Kingorum. over £1000 (a rare species tho being bred by a few euopeans i believe)

Pilbarensis. over £100 (a rare species tho being bred buy a few people in canada i believe, not sure of the keepers in europe. cb)

Scalaris. I have NO idea on price (rare species it seems thi a few are kept)

Storri . £300-400 (somewhat rare tho becomeing more available with frequency now cb uk)

Caudolineatus. No idea on price (very few being kept to my knowledge)

There are other speices like glebopalma that im told a few europeans keep tho there realy are so few i havent botherd to mention them realy.

Hope some of that helps and i dare say i have left somthing out or got a few things wrong.

I can add a couple i seen in the last month...

rudicolis hatchlings CF £150 each approx
prasinus CB 20cm about £1000
doreanus LTC 80cm approx £200

yeah sorry about that, should have paid more attention... can we have a forum for medium sized monitors?

what is the cut off length anyway? prasinus not dwarf enough? Guess it's just nice that there are other species available other than Boscs and Niles

I think you can slip prasinus into the 'dwarf' catergory

Do you have any of the european breeders website that i can have a look at prefer the ones that you get a english version as well.

Do any one know of shops/breeders that who import if i required that i could get in contact with.

I don't know which of these are dwarf or how common any of them are.
