Wow, thats one nice cyanea, just goes to show how big they can get!!
Right, yeah thats very true...
I think id prefer an ATB, just because they are nippy, but stay smaller than the cat eyes, but then I would prefer a cat eye, and I dont know why lol...What size viv would you say would be the minimum, for a cyanea?
I think ill end up getting both before I go venomous (if I do end up deciding on going that way), but ill probably get an ATB first.
Thanks for all the help everyone, ill let you know when I get my next snake/s.

Cheers

Probably around a 3ftviv ish for the cateye.

You will be getting much more snakes before venomous. I'd more or less not think about venomous for a few years. It's a massive decision, as only the tiniest mistake or whatever can kill you. When you do think seriously about venomous, then get training and experience with a keeper, and usually start with vipers as they are safer for handling. A mamba would be up the hook and past your face before you even blinked.

I still want venomous but I know there is plenty to keep me occupied with other stuff for years.

Would a 3feet ish be a 3longx2widex2high, or would it need to be higher?

Cheers

I kept nonvenomous snakes for 10 years, before getting my first "hot". Meanwhile I had the oppurtunity to have a friend that already was very experianced, that I could learn from. So, he let me handle som of heīs animals under supervision. Pointing out tips, doīs and dontīs from me.. I am very grateful that I had him around. Learned alot.

Just to the left of the west midlands, on the border of wales. From you probably M1, M6, M54 then off at junction 3. It's probably around 100 miles from you, at a guess. A fair distance from ameyzoo anyway. Richard did some venomous training with Mark from ameyzoo, and mark also gave him advice and that for setting up a shop.

Last time I saw Mark I got nailed by the small amethystine python, not a big head but bled a lot for what the damage actually was.

sounds a bit too far to go for an afternoon. Thats a shame it looks and sounds great Smile
