Snuk is about a foot an a half now, but we are finding that her contico is forever filled with condensation. The kitchen roll is sodden and she leaves no water in her bowl. Is she getting too big for the contico now? Am I doing something wrong? Can she be put in the viv now, or is she going to be happier in the contico? We are finding her quite active at night now, forever checking out the roof to her box |

by the way, i forgot to say that she is in a medium sized contico (i think), and that we are having to replace everything that was once dry every night |

if you feel she's too big, move her out into a viv or bigger contico. If you choose a viv, remember to recreate that 'tight' confirned, safe space that has worked well so far with her. _________________

Is it a vented contico or have you just drilled a few holes in it?What I do with my bloods in conticos is use a largish water bowl but only fill it an inch or so deep so that if they do soak it doesnt overflow and swamp the tub. |

its got holes in it at either end. we dont fill up the water bowl, just no more than half an inch deep really. we put her in the viv tonight, and she is exploring, no apparent signs of stress, just yawning and lots of tongue action. |

what tempreture was she at as excessive soaking isnt normal, it might be too hot it might have mites, or the water bowl may just be simply to light

temp hasnt changed, i think she has been tipping the bowl. temp is around 84, seems happy with that, and is still feeding. not spending too much time in the hot area, but not exactly spending a lot of time near the water either. i think she was just dragging herself through, and being on kitchen roll, it would just soak up all the water. still, she is out of the contico now, carefully watching her for any stress. gonna see how she feeds tomorrow |
