Okay, so here's the problem. I have a new twin vivarium cabinet coming soon. It'll be 4ft wide, and each vivarium is about 18in high, and 18in deep. A nice area I think you'll agree. So, my corns will go in one vivarium, but I want some geckos in my other one. A friend is possibly going to a dealer in the UK (see below) so has said he'll pick some up for me if I want. My question is this: WHAT DO I GET!? I'd also quite like to know how many would be a good number in that size vivarium, and whether I can mix and match species as a few of them take my fancy. I like the thought of something a bit "different" as everyone in Jersey has your bulk standard Leopard Geckos and Bearded Dragons - they're far too common here now due to only having one rubbish pet shop who always have the same stock of poorly treated exotics.

Any input gratefully received - thanks!

Anyway - my potential gecko list is as follows:

Any opinions... greatly appreciated Smile

I moved this to the general geckos forum Wink

As for your choice, whichever you like the most. I would go for the desert banded gecko, as they're quite small, so you could have a small colony of them, and a great naturalistic set-up (plus a personal favourite!). As for the amount, you'd have to ask a keeper...
Chinese cavies would do well in a viv like that too.

Giant days and Palms are arboreal, so 18" high isn't really ideal.

As for mixing and matching species, those geckos are all of very different habitats, climates and sizes.

Not sure about how fasciatas are kept though...

What sort of size do the desert banded geckos get to?

Never seen that site before - it's being bookmarked.

Thanks!
