What type of king is it? The average age is about 2yrs old providing its big enough, as for the size I'd say she has to be taking adult mice possibly two a week.

I've paired two of my King pairs over the last week. First the Variables (L. m. thayeri) :

the male (left) weighed 327g and the female 379g.
Evidence of mating this week when I noticed two blood spots in the viv. when I was separating them :

I also paired two of my San Luis Potosi (L. m. mexicana) :

The female (lighter colour) weighed 517g and the male 405g. When I separated them his hemipene was slightly exposed and he left some sperm on my hand as he returned to his viv.
I have an Excel spreadsheet to record breeding data and this tells me my San Luis Potosi should lay between 13-Jun and 12-Jul and hatch between 6-Aug and 2-Oct. Laying for the Variables will be between 13-Jun and 18-Jul and hatching between 9-Aug and 19-Sep.
Fingers crossed.
Graham.
