Adventures in Green Python Country is a true adventure story written by Karl-Heinz Switak and his search for Chondropython viridis in it's native New Guinea. The journey begins back in 1971 and the whole book is almost like a diary of hilarious events and situations surronding his adventures and quest for finding green trees in the wild, exporting them back to the USA and even hatching babies back in 1973!
The book has many excellent colour plates (worth buying the book JUST for the photos!) of a wide range of reptiles and other native fauna and tribes people.
This is one of the most addictive herp related books I have read (although at 360 odd pages I still haven't finished reading it ) , easy to read and peppered with stunning photography and an absolute steal at just 40 euros (not seen a £ price here in the UK, feel free to post a link to anyone selling this great book!). _________________
