yeah you are supposed to stay 10m away to prevent the transfer of diseases from us to them (although in Uganda and Rwanda where that vid was almost certainly taken diseases like ebola are a very real threat and are thought to have spread from apes to humans). That said they do often approach to closer than that as they are habituated. I had the amazing and nerve shredding experience of a full grown silverback like the one in the vid walking out of the bushes 3m away while I was having a p**s by myself. Was 15 at the time and i can tell you more than a little scared!
