his nails look a little bit to long. do you have anything in your enclosure where he could cut them ??

MJ- Thank you! I do plan on making the larger animal (Silver which is a Black throat monitor) different and more usable... also i'm am planing on making a larger one 12x6x6 or so.

Indicus- Thank you.

lol93- Yes i am breeding them in their now haha.

i love monitors- his=She lol. Her nails are a bit long... nothing to worry about.

Scott w- Thank you. The bird was a quail though hehe, the egg was a chicken egg.

right now you are laughting about it, but later you ( or better the monitor) will have problems with that .

hmm i don't see laughing about it anywhere where i wrote....

Anyways her basking site (I'll post a picture) is slate which helps, they used to be longer when she was smaller. She is also a shy, inactive monitor which doesn't help. She has never came out to much, always been that way since 2 years ago i got her. (be two Jan 19Th).

Thanks for the heads up... but as i stated before as of right now.... i and she have nothing to worry about, I'm well aware of the problems consisting with long nails.
