Cheers Scott, looks great
Do you think this is good:
http://www.rapidracking.com/p/7/142/655/Storage Solutions/Really Useful Box Storage/Really Useful 10x64ltr Box Bay.htm
Obviously i would need to buy heat strips, but is it fully equipped with rack and boxes, are they big enough ?
Also where would i get heat strips from and how much ? _________________ 1.2 BRB's_1.0 Woma_1.0 HIB_1.0 Amel_1.0 Green Pink Spot Snow_1.1 Hypo Bloods_1.0 Ultramel Anery_0.1 Anery Het Hypo Lav_1.0 Hypo Lav_0.1 Aztec Hypo Lav_1.0 Amel Stripe Het Butter_0.1 Butter Stripe_0.1 Anery Stripe_0.1 Ice_0.1 Snopal_1.1 Plasmas Het Hypo |

Scott,
Brilliant rack, can I ask how you stat it?
I.E. How many and what kind of stat do you use?
Where do you place the sensor(s)?
Do you wire all the mats into one stat?
Any info would be great cheers |

I use habistat thermostats, pulse.
I have 2 per rack, 1 for the bottom 2 layers and 1 for the top 3 layers. The mats plug into a trailing lead, then that plugs into the stat.
The probe is stuck at the back just off the heat mat. I then use a thermometer to 'dial' the thermostat to the right temp. _________________

Just curious here but why do you place the probe off the mat?.. _________________

because if I use a layer of aspen in the tub, by the time the heat gets thru to the basking site I need to turn the dial past the max on the thermometer, by moving the probe away a fraction it gives me more 'dialing' on the thermostat..
if all that makes sense _________________

Funny enough it does..lol..always used paper towel in tubs so never had the problem of heat penetrating the substrate.. _________________

those particular racks are for royal pythons, males or females under 2kg.
They are also great for leopard geckos & many of the rat snakes and kingsnakes.
