So i wonder what could be going on here
Sorry they have been taken through the glass but i didnt want to disturb her too much. As she feels vulnerable when like this even the slightest vibrations make her turn back over again so opening the viv door would have upset her.
She is due to lay between the 3rd and 13th of november, it will be another 90 ish days from then before i know for sure which male bred to her.
It'd be nice if the striped did the deed but i'd still be happy if it was the tiger.
Not sure how many eggs to expect as its her first clutch but she is a good size (weighed in at bang on 100lbs just before breeding) and she is a lot older than most first time mothers seen in captivity.
I have worked on a guess of 32 eggs which would produce approx 16 tigers, 8 super tigers and 8 normals if the dad is the tiger.
If the striped is the dad then i will have 16 normals and 16 tigers - all het for striped. That would mean a first in the UK for tiger het stripes and a whole new striped bloodline as the american one is a dwarf morph. _________________ TFA
