Sorry but a snake doesn't go from being 100% healthy then develop scale rot in 48 hrs and then die from it..I'm no vet but pretty sure if you asked one he would agree. _________________

Think what you like maybe you should take it to a vet for post mortem.Maybe you should do some research on scale rot. _________________

Hi Anthony, Stuart is not saying your lying...he is saying that from his years of experiance he has never known or heard of a snake developing scale rot in just two days of being in a humid hide and then dying from scale rot in less than 72 hours.
I have to agree I have never heard of anything similar either, that's why we are curious to see a photo or know for sure what a vet's pm. _________________

Stuart has not at all insinuated that you are lying, he is however suggesting that perhaps what you believe to have killed your snake probably did not, and that there is a more severe underlying problem that caused the demise of your snake. Maybe the scale rot was the final straw and added too much to an already poorly snake.
Sorry for your loss |
