The best way to avoid the problem of moving hatchlings is to take the egg box out before they hatch Jan, and put it in another bin to start a new colony. That way they will all be of a similar size too. If you were to take the egg tub every ten days for example, and leave it in the new bin for say another ten or twelve days then that will give time also for the last eggs layed to hatch. Just watch they dont dry out too much.
My females seem to keep laying almost right up until their end but I tend to feed them off when they start looking a bit ropey. _________________ YSBRYDOLI POBL, GWELLA LLEOEDD
