Work on a Varanus salvator Complex (complex=group of closely related species) has already started, but has yet to be completed. Some will very likely be raised to full species status, an undetermined number remain a subspecies, at least one subspecies will be found to be invalid and hopefully the undescribed forms of Varanus salvator will be described.
Cheers,

Yes I know I been reading some of the research carried out by Maren Gaulke on the Philippine salvator complex.
Anyway good luck Michael with your own research and the breeding of bengalensis. Keep intouch, if you email me then I will hopefully be able to send you some more information regarding some of the monitors we have discussed and pics.
Cheers
