hi all Scott i insulated the walls and floor with rock wool the type you have in your loft then i used 12mm ply over the top to line it out if i was to do it again i would have had extra ventilation because it does get hot in summer i have my herps on at night to combat this and its worked well.
serpent you have some good points about the heat getting sucked out in winter i took that into account when i designed my Viv's i used 7mm perspex it holds the heat in very well and after Ive been in the shed it soon warms up again due to the way i insulated the walls but time will tell the winter months are coming but I'm very confident that it will be fine if not it will take me 10 Min's to board the door up |

I insulated my shed with rockwool as well and have a small window 24x12 high up in one corner but it still gets waaayyyy too hot in the summer so i had to get an air con unit to cool things down a bit .... works great now. 74-76 all year round ambiant temps instead of over 100F in the summer and 80+ in the winter . _________________ People laugh at me because I am different
