Hi everyone...Can i have your views and opinions on how to keep the humidity in the viv and at what levels do you recommend..

humidity is good, stagnant air is bad.

I use large water bowls, adult balls can soak when needed. If coming up for shedding I may also soak the aspen substrate for a week too.

I just have large water bowls. The royals hardly ever go in them but they raise the humidity a little.
Adult royals don't seem to need much humidity.
For babies I used to raise the humidity more by spraying.

The complete ball python manual recommends that you have a humidity hide. basically a plastic box with spragnum moss.
If you look at the picture you will see how I keep them . Notice the tub with moss in it. I keep this moss wet and over the heat pad. Because it is in a tub the substrate is kept dry. I also spray the floor once a day
when I notice a shed coming on I use a big hand full of moss loose in the tank on the warm side.
Humidity depends also on tank. A wooden humidity absorbing tank is not a good idea. I use the 50ltr really use full boxes(see pic if I have managed to put it on) for adults and conticos.. Currently under £30 for 3 including postage on ebay.
