Hi folks,
I'm looking (a while in the future) to make an investment and get a mack snow leo for breeding, but I want to get the partner for this hypothetical gecko now as my first gecko. I've been researching for the past year, and think I know what I'm doing (hope I know what I'm doing!). Thing is, in a normal I like very dark colours, if I get a gecko like this will the future hypothetical offspring with a mack snow be not of such good colours?
Thanks
Lucy

good question, not sure if Mack Snows have been around long enough for anyone to have a good answer. Mack snows are genetic & are co-dominant. So in theory breeding a mack snow to a normal should give you a 50% chance of each baby being another mack snow, breeding two mack snows should produce Super Mack snows. But going back to the 'dark' leo question.....I have no idea Embarassed Laughing

with it being co-dom would a dark normal mate help to create cleaner lighter snows? a hypermelanistic baby when albino'd or snowed usually gets a cleaner lighter animal.

would not know if its the same with leo's though?

It's true Pete. That is a theory at the moment. I know of at least 2 people trying this out. Lets hope in the near future, we can have the answer.
