Hello
Just been messing, adding a new layer to my rack (Got 4 layers now) Razz Razz What i have noticed is a big fluctuation in the surface(newspaper) temps (using a digital thermometer probe) Varies from 86-92.
Question is, what do people recommend as an optimum temp range for the royals to be lying on. Also what would be an absolute minimum and maximum for them to thrive. I am talking in all the above about temp which they lie on, not air temp.
I use no other source of heating them.
thanks in advance
mike

at the moment some of my racks seem to fluctuate a fair bit, 86f up to 96f. Not too sure why, may just be the air blowing that way and affecting the probe.

The snakes can still choose their preferred temp by moving forwards or backwards in the tubs, it's only if I see them ALL doing the same thing (ie all at the front or all at the back) that I know it's actually causing a problem.

as usual good answer.
I think i worry too much. Its not an exact science, I am sure they have temp fluctuations in the wild. I think its a manic love thing. I want the best for them but get distressed when things don't happen in the perfect text book fashion.

thanks
