Just tried all my rhacos on 'red runners', they seem to love them, far more nutrition and body mass than crickets, so I may change over totally.
Anyone tried mealworms? _________________

Dont the red runners get everywhere in where you keep the rhac's? From my experience with them they go everywhere they can.
As for meal worms, i have tried cresteds and gargoyles on them, my crested seemed to eat a few the gargoyles didn't really eat many at all. _________________ Play Hard |

They aren't a problem in the mesh vivs as they tend to keep to the side walls, however I certainly wouldn't recommend using them if you keep your lizards in the house. _________________

You can, I've seen a few adverts but can't remember who from, I think Insects Unlimited has them. _________________

Thats why i have never used them because i know they will get out of my mesh enclosures in the gap between the door and the frame. I bet they are a great feeding source though.
I like feeding my rhaco's moths, they chase them round like nutters. My monitors used to just jump straight into the air and pluck them out of the sky. _________________ Play Hard |

I've been considering phoenix worms. Has anyone tried those with cresties?
Scott - I gave Eric some crickets last weekend.... oh my word!! He's a new man! He has so much fun chasing them around that I've seen a totally new side to his personality. Worth putting up with the wretched things just for that! _________________ Regards, Tanya

lol....yep they fly around the cage chasing crickets, great fun!
Not tried phoenix worms as food for anything yet, did try to culture them but didn't have enough space for the adult flys. _________________

My crestie really seems to like mealworms, he also loves silkworms on the occasions I have them in. _________________

my cresties wont eat anything but livefood anymore! the only time they will eat fruit is if i actually try them with it when they are out. but they eat all kinds of livefood, they wont turn anything down if it moves! _________________ "With all this stress, i must confess this could be worse than PMS!" |
