Personally I'd just try to keep things simple but no one can be sure to be right because no ones known (no ones recorded scientifically ) if this has happened before |

However if it solely complied with the mother in no way would it live to be this mature....that's what I find intriguing!
With regards to it being shot, I was saying that on the basis that...even though it was a naturally occurring hybrid and yes mother nature did 'produce' this, if this bear did manage to breed it would severely alter the blood pools of either the grizzly or the polar bear populations. Interesting subject, both sections of it
While yes i would say you are both correct in that the baby will follow mums example but the digestive system will be left short of certain nutrients - however, "mother nature" is a clever old woman (if you follow that train of thought) and ALLWAYS "hardwires" a redundancy circuit into changes (wonder if i re-did this whether i could get any more analogies in?).
To illustrate my point I'll use wolves. These are predominantly carnivorous yet they (like "our" dogs) can be seen eating grass and other vegetation to aid with digestive problems, they are also prone to eating vomit and faeces (bit like some squaddies i know, but that's a different story!) in order to replace lost nutrients. You can be pretty sure that even to a dog that wont taste nice, so they don't do it for fun. They may have seen parents doing it but they won't have known why (comunication skills don't allow it) - it is just something they know to do when they feel they need what ever the action provides.
As for should it have been shot, easy answer. Why not, the virus that is humanity destroys everything else that nature tries to do _________________ TFA
