Looking to upgrade my camera soon so borrowed my brothers canon 350D with a view to buying one of these, seems fairly easy to use and takes good pics but was a bit dissapointed that you cant use the lcd screen as a view finder!
Can you recommend a better camera for similar money Question

You wont be able to use lcd as a viewfinder on a slr digital camera..for similar money some of the nikon coolpix cameras are highly rated although not quite as flexible as an slr. With the slr you can always change lenses to suit your needs..depends what you need it for really.

Just for taking pictures of my reptiles really but wanted to be able to change lenses. Not used a digital slr before and found it a bit awkward looking through the viewfinder on the tripod.

I use a Pentax Optio 30, just under £100 from Argos, does the job nicely for what I want:

......great photo Andrew, just goes to show iyou don't need an expensive camera.

I use a Canon 20D, it's a great camera, i'm just very good with it yet Embarassed

A lot of the photos on here from me are from a Sony cybershot, although the quality isn't as good, the colour comes out great almost every pic.

I use my trusty camcorder. From what i can tell the pics come out so well because it has a Carl Zeiss lense and a x10 optical zoom that works well with the x40 digi zoom, an example:

One day i might go all out and actually buy a proper camera but for now i'm as happy as i can be
