Those snakes were sold to my friend like Irian Jaya. How can you find out that is realy Irian Jaya and not different kind of carpet p.?

Its a bit difficult to say for sure, but these are certainly not normal Irian Jaya. They might be reduced pattern IJ's, but if I had to bet I'd say these are crosses. Misrepresentation of snakes is a not uncommon problem, especially with carpets.

Good luck with the carpet pythons.

Misrepresentation is fairly commonplace with Australian reptiles, but it is not surprising since all of them are smuggled in origin!

In this case, it is where knowing the bloodline is important. Wink

Nice looking Carpets anyway.

Irian Jaya's are not Australian, nor are they smuggled in.
But with all the crossing that is going on misrepresentation, whether by mistake or intentional, is all too common.
If your friend wants Irian Jaya's he should get in touch with a breeder thatalso shows him the adults.

Looks like their may be some Coastal in them,nice looking snakes though.
