Just got back from the vets for my dogs latest load of chemotherapy (amongst everything else that I've had going on at the moment !!!) and have been given a challenge by my Australian vet.

He has been talking to me about red Australian frilled dragon versus the brown Indonesian. Now this is all new to me not having kept frilled dragons...but can someone tell me if they do indeed exist ?!?!?!?!

My vet reckons he has a male Australian frilled dragon and is currently looking for a female (without any success so far). Now as he is a "native" Australian I would have assumed he would know what he is talking about, and has now asked me if I can find him a red female or a number for someone who could help.

Any ideas ????

Hiya.
Yes the vets is Summerhill. I was going to give Jamie a call today to tell him I've not had much luck finding an Australian frilled. Most places seem to have the NG form, probably because it is a lot cheaper and therefore easier to sell. The best I can suggest is a possibility that one of the dealers at Hamm may have them available. The ban on exports hasn't helped either Crying or Very sad

Well theres only one species in the family as far as ive read, so all it could be is locality differences or a morph as far as im awear. would be nice to see your friends male, the one on that kingsnake link is stunning.

From what I've read, there are two, the New Guinea form which is brown and white and more commonly found for sale over here because of the price; and then there is the Australian form which is bigger and more brightly coloured.

i have been after a female new guinea for months and not a sniff they are rear at the moment i have 2 males and a female if anyone can help that would be great
