Hi Mark, what cuties they are!! You have some lovely looking lizards there. I am even more excited now, because I am picking up 2 unrelated Blue Tongue Lizard babies next week. Hopefully they will be male and female and then I can have a chance of breeding them too. How easy or difficult is it to sex them at this age? When trying to choose the 2 I am picking up next week, the Rep shop owner found it almost impossible and ended up simply putting one against the other an comparing head and body sizes Confused

Regards, Paul.

Thanks for your comments.

Pretty much impossible to sex them reliably as babies. You can have a go of course, by looking at the relative size/breadth of the head, and often you will turn out right, but not always! Even as adults, most animals with really large/broad heads will be male, but some males have small/narrow heads and you'd swear they were female. The only way to know 100% for sure is when a female gives birth.

Cheers,
Mark.
