Wow that is one stunning spider, and the webbing is amazing!
I'd love to get one of these one day.

I presume this is the webbing males make when they are ready to mate?

Green Bottle Blue (Chromatopelma cyanopubescens)

Still just an immature animal. Needs a few more inches to be mature.

The web is normal for them. They don't do anything special until the mature.

Well thats some fantastic webbing then!

How do you find his temperament?
Any problems going in to spot clean, water etc?

Pretty timid and easy going. They just run and hide in a funnel.

excellent photos, these are my favorite type of Tarantula. Ive read quite alot of conflicting information on these especially about personality I've read they are timid, shy, docile and aggressive also about how to keep these some things i have read say arboreal, semi-arboreal and torrestrial. how do you keep yours? be interesting to see what other peoples experiences with these have been.

I set mine up semi arboreal. placed one all branch up one side of the enclosure. They completely webbed from top of it the bottom of it. Only about 2-3 inches from the top of the container are not webbed. They burrow a tiny 2 inch tunnel at first. The web started from there and grew out and up.

Set mine all up at room temp, 70-75, mist weekly, fresh water always.

I wonder how the webbing would have changed if I had placed them in a larger terrarium style set up.
