hello folks thought i would ask for some advice. my 14 month old ball is doing really well since buying her a month back. i know feeding can be fun but im a little worried as she will not strike feed and will only take food if its left in her cave where she spends most of her time. Is there any methods to encourage a feeding response and does it matter if she is not strike feeding. My corn scares me when she strikes as she does so with such ferocity but i enjoy watching it. the is on small rats at the moment and thats what we were given with her when bought from serpentus, she loves being handled and is an absolute joy. Any help would be appreciated. Also looking for a male royal at the moment if anyone knows of any. thanks again kieran |

it doesnt really matter. they are all differant. some of mine strike others eat in thier caves, others will only eat if its dark. as long as they eat thats all that matters. ryan has just got more royals in if your looking for a male. all his seem to eat, and he wont sell them unless they are. _________________

you could try dragging it past her cave door, see if she pounces. use tongs though. but if she doesnt dont worry about it. as i said they all have thier own wee ways. _________________

i normally use serpentus. anything i want i tell ryan and he can usually get me it. what i like about him and nikki is they refuse to sell cf or wc. and if you have any problems they are always there. pm on its way. _________________

it was nikki who sold me one of her ball pythons - she had a real hard time letting her go but she liked us so made me the happiest guy about. It was called busy and i fell in love with her straight away. i certainly get most of my products from them, but if i remember correctly they have no male royals in... ill need to nip in on my way up to st andrews and see what they can do |
