Jack,
It depends to a degree on the type of Rat Snake. My quarantine rack is composed of under-bed storage boxes, the type on wheels with hinged lids. They measure approximately 30 by 15 by 7 inches and have been used for various Rats plus other species. For smaller Rat species Conticos or RUBs would be ideal.
