I am sure I asked this last year BUT I am asking again:: Embarassed

I am not sure if I have missed her ovulate so have put my male who never refuses a good time in with her to see what happens Wink
Also she has gone off feed which is totally unlike her, last year she fed like mad right upto ovulation.
Qs
Has anyone ever known a female to either feed or go through the breeding motions after ovulation??

thanks
mike

once the female has ovulated i wouldnt imagine she would allow a male to mate her,i also doubt he would try?with royals i doubt she would feed either.i have had hognoses feed the day before laying a clutch of eggs though, but hoggie are just plain mental and totally greedy too Laughing

She shed her skin saturday and I put him in last night, had a peep this morning and wedded bliss, I will take it she is building and not ovulated.

She's a bit fiesty and I'm a bit of a wimp, so nope. but all the signs are there like last year, glow, lumping, cool side, contorted etc, apart from aggresive feeding.

Good luck Mike, I hope she goes for you Very Happy Is this the same female that produce well for you last season, I've seen the piccies Very Happy

Got know what my female is up to Rolling Eyes She went through the laying funny, hugging water bowl and cool end thing a while back, she has mated since but has only got back to feeding the last 2 weeks, and tonight she snatched the damn rat so fast I had to fight to get the tongs back Laughing The other one only seems to be happy when she has a man in her box, and isn't showing any other real signs, I'll just wait and see, they'll either go or they won't. Tried palping, and have to confess to being useless at it Embarassed

How are things with you Jamie and your lot? Very Happy

Thanks for that Mike, I'll have a read Very Happy I like a good read Very Happy Tis much easier with the geckos Laughing

I won't be totally gutted if neither of them produce, there is always next season, which is coming around quickly and I'll be able to get a bit more weight on them, this was more practice sessions for my boys Wink
