Hi,
Can anyone out there help me. I am having trouble keeping the locusts I buy alive.How long should they live for. Any tips for keeping them alive gladly received.

well give them things like apple and carrot and potato and that seems to keep them alive for long enough

Thanks for your reply.I will try that.I had put cucumber in with them, but I will try the carrot, apple and potato.

i had similar problems.

I think with locusts its best to keep them as warm and dry as possible and to feed them with cabbage, bran etc

Ideally, a heatmat under the container you keep them in will get them warmer..

cucumber has no neutritional value as it is mostly water

The big breakthrough for me was keeping them warm enough. A heatmat underneath is ideal.

I agree with Lol, they like warmth.
Dont bother with lettice either.
