Designed my 2 stacks for snakes & lizards, just after a bit of advice of on the sizes to see if they sound ok. Lx H x W
First is :
8x4x4 Base viv for common boa
on top (2) 4x2x2 for royal pythons
2nd stack is :
6 x 3 x3 for beardie
ontop 4 x 2 x2 for kingsnake & 2x2x2 gecko
Any advice before their built would be helpful thanx |

all i would say is make sure the royals tank isnt too big. when are you getting it built moody? plus watch the heat from the beardies doeant interfere with anyone elses heating. _________________

Got to see my mate over the weekend about how much its gonna cost, but getting them made in separates so know you mention about the beardie temps maybe i'll keep that part separate. Thanx. Hopefully get them built in the next few months. |

when i got the boa moved onto a ceramic i had trouble sitting the corns on top of her viv as the heat heated up the viv roof a bit too. _________________

also, if you mean every viv will be separate and then stack, weel try and put the same size viv on top as is on bottom, if the top one is smaller then the bottom will start to bend in with the weight. easily sorted though. _________________

I would say that in general, a Kingsnake would be fine in a 3'x18"x15" or if you want to be generous a 3'x18"x18".
Imo, 2ft height for most medium sized snakes is not necessary and is probably wasted space. _________________ 31August2008-Kent Reptile Show (Amphibians & Inverts welcome) for more information & Booking e:mail: mrac@sky.com |
