found mites on one of my boas today and im not sure what to do to get rid of them i burned all the substrate and took everything out any advice please help... |

you will have to get mite spray but until then i would clean everything in the viv and put the snake on paper i willget ya the name of good mite spray _________________ http://johonny.proboards66.com/index.cgi

know your enemy, take a read of this, it's both informative and scary :

my method is to clean the whole viv with 5% bleach to water mix and then Frontline the whole viv.
with the snake i bathe in warm slightly soapy water and then i use copious amounts of olive oil all over the snake including the eyes and the channel underneath the mouth (fav hiding spots) this suffocates all the little bleeders that are left on the snake.
the snake is then tubed for a couple of weeks and the viv is cleaned a couple more times for good measure.
normally this process is done in the quarantine period before a snake enters my collection.
