Hi all...
Is there a good method of heating for night in chameleon cages? I am concerned that my night time temps are too low at this time of year for my nosy be (approx 15 degrees C) measured on my thermometer overnight. He is in good health (eating well, drinking well, good colours etc.) at the moment, and the temperatures are nice and high during the day, but I'm worried he will be harmed by low temperatures, especially if they drop much below this.... _________________

Hi Joe
How you doing? i used to keep night time temps about 20c or 70f. before i heated the room i used to use a ceramic on a dimmer stat. if you left the wiring in place just get a ceramic holder & connect it up.

Hi Joe.
As James said they don't give off any light. i used a 100 watt bulb in that enclosure.
p.s i will ring you for a chat when i get a minute, as i've been real busy. also hurt my back last week. nothing to do with getting that viv up three flights of stairs though Joe :lol

Hahaha....thats cool mate...hope your back gets better. Ozzy is doing really well though mate, he's eating me out of house and home, and drinking plenty...colours are very vivid too, he's a bit of a stunner...I put an ad on the classifieds to see if anyone fancies a breeding loan (i.e. lending me their female), then he can have a bit of satisfaction
Sorry for being dumb about ceramic...never used them before because I mainly keep frogs and chams that don't mind a temperature drop _________________

its not being dumb, far from it. your just doing what most of us are doing by asking questions you gain more information which in turn could help your cham. hope you get everything sorted out |
