What's a good ambient temp for a reptile room? Mine is sitting about 75-77f at the moment and it feels quite plesent in their, I think the warm mist humidifier will also add a little heat to the room as well when it gets installed, have to move the wardrobes out first though Embarassed Laughing

I have an electric oil filled thermostated radiator in there as well as the radiator (heat is always on in our house Laughing ) which I leave on a low setting unless it gets really cold, then it gets turned up a bit Very Happy

this of course will depend on whether you are breeding or not and what type of snake you are keeping.

i am assuming you have BP as you are on that forum. for them, try and maintain a cool end temp. between 82f - 84f and a basking spot of about 94f. the enclosure temp will usually be warmer than room temp.

I'm not breeding at the moment as all my balls are in the nursery Laughing apart from 2 larger females, the others are on their holidays playing with some nice boys Wink

My room temp is about 77f and their air temps in their boxes are about 80f cool and up to 85 warm, the pulse stat is set to just over 92f to allow for the dissipation of the heat bwtween the heatmat and the inside hot end surface of the RUB. If I set the pulse stat much higher than that it tends to cook the air temps in the tubs. As they are only in 9litre RUBS at present it's a little more tricky to keep the temps absolutely perfect at either end without making the air holes larger, and then when the temp drops outside they get coolder, but they are within about 1 degree variation now.
