like all red-tails they are Boa constrictor constrictor

the image above is a boa constrictor imperator. not a true red-tailed boa.

I would look at the snake find out what he wants for it price wise and get some pics and if your not shore post them and you will soon know if its a red-tail or not.

get "The boa constrictor manual" and that will give you a good idea what to look out for on a red-tail.
